Description
Cabernet Sauvignon is a full-bodied red wine with high acidity and tannin, and black fruit
notes of black cherry, blackberry, cassis, and plum.
It also has vegetal notes of green pepper, herbaceous notes of mint and tobacco, and spice
notes of vanilla, cedar, and black pepper from oak ageing.
The taste of Cabernet Sauvignon varies depending on the region and climate where the
grapes are grown. Cooler climates produce more dark-fruit and acidic wines, while warmer
climates produce more rich-red fruit and savoury wines.
Cabernet Sauvignon from Bordeaux, France, is usually blended with Merlot and has more
floral and graphite flavours rather than fruit.
Matured in French oak.
